Ceremonies & Receptions

Ceremonies are traditionally held between the 11 am and 12 noon on the cliff-top lawn terrace just outside the restaurant. Champagne, wine and hors d’oeuvres are served immediately following as guests enjoy the magnificent coastal views and take advantage of memorable photo opportunities. Dancing follows a full luncheon buffet if desired – seating is available for a maximum of 80 guests. Receptions end at 4 pm.

Chef Smith has created wedding menus ranging from simple to elaborate and included is a list of the most popular menu items. Designed to suit your individual taste and budget, the buffet includes complimentary coffee, tea, punch and bread. In addition to the menu choices listed, Chef Smith will also accommodate special requests. Luncheons are priced on an individual basis, starting at $65 per person, plus tax and 18% gratuity.

The wine cellar at the Albion River Inn features selections from around the world with special emphasis on the best California sparkling and still wines. In addition, a full bar-mixed drinks, bottled beer and the largest single malt scotch collection on the Mendocino Coast is provided on either a limited or open basis. A copy of our wine and liquor list is available on request. Wine is charged on a per opened-bottle basis, plus 18% gratuity and 7.25% sales tax. Full bar set-up fee, including the services of a bartender is $100 plus a per drink charge and gratuity. All alcohol served on the property must be purchased through the inn.

flowersMusic, flowers, decorations, and special activities all compliment and personalize your ceremony and reception. To assist you with these arrangements, the Albion River Inn provides the services of our wedding coordinator. She will work closely with the bride and groom regarding rehearsal scheduling, seating arrangements, table décor, wine and menu selections, guest accommodations, as well as establish an itinerary for the day. She will also schedule a day in the restaurant for the bride and groom to interview photographers, floral designers, cake bakers and officiates. She will be present at the rehearsal and the wedding and will oversee the delivery and set-up of flowers, cake and decorations.

Policies, Rates

Albion River Inn charges a facility and management fee of $3,000 for Saturday weddings and $2,500 for Sunday weddings, which includes the services of the wedding coordinator, banquet staff, private use of the oceanfront lawn and restaurant, the Garden Room for the bride to dress in the day of the wedding, ceremony seating, linens, some floral arrangements, and custom table linens for the cake table. From November 1st through April 30th, Albion River Inn offers a winter rate of $2000.00. However, during the winter months we can accommodate a maximum of 40 guests.A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a date. Albion River Inn will also accommodate a “ceremony only”.
